There is a very cool website for those of you who are floatplane buffs. Log on to www.dhc-2.com to view most of the Dehavilland Beavers that are still flying today. Anyone can apparently submit photos. Beaver CGDZD serial 496 is shown, but CFHAN serial 316 is not. Any of you with a good picture of HAN could earn the distinction of being the first to introduce it to the public.

The Canadian Trading Post on Sandpoint Lake will no longer be selling fishing licenses or bait with the start of the 2006 season. If you are being flown to a remote area, not to Campbell's base or a ranger station, fax or email us with all pertinent info along with a credit card, and we will send your license with the pilot.

The Lac La Croix guides will access Poohbah Lake, in the Quetico, for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

We really enjoyed our stay at Campbell's Cabins! If you want to have the fishing trip of your life, try Campbell's Cabins on Lac La Croix. Great accommodations, great food, great guides and great folks to spend time with. Check out the 2006 photos or 2007 photos of our recent trip to Campbell's.

The movie "Field of Dreams" suggests Iowa might be heaven. I am not sure where heaven is, but I found a little slice of it at Lac La Croix, Ontario, Canada. (read story)

Had a good Day

We enjoyed our stay at La Croix so much! We still often tell each other about it and we are still telling it to friends.
The  lovely house,  the 'private beach', using the canoes, catching fish when you are only 5 years old (!), hearing the wolves howl in the middle of the night, having very nice meal in the evening....   Everything was really great!

Give Kathy our regards,

Greetings

Greetings!

I want to thank you for the wonderful time I just had there. I was one of the group from Arkansas with Burt Willoughby and Steve Jones. Although I don't get to experience such trips often, I can recognize true professionals and excellent service when I see it. EVERYONE at Campbells treated us like old friends and family, our stay was very comfortable, the food and service top-rate, and the fishing incredible. Duane, Randy, Jimmy, and Fabian all worked very hard to keep us on fish, Kim is one great waitress, the flights with Rob were incredible, and Jay is a great host. The trip will be one of my favorite memories forever. Thanks to all the staff.

Sincerely,
Brad Johnson

Update on Passport Information

Hello Everyone:

All persons returning to the U.S.A. by aircraft must have a Passport.

The following letter is if you are return to the U.S.A. by car or boat.

Apparently the latest announcements from the US Department of Homeland Security have some people confused so we thought we should help clarify the matter.

The passport requirement is indeed delayed to June 1, 2009.

What has kicked in as of January 31, 2008 is the formal requirement to actually produce ID in the form of proof of identity (drivers license with photo etc.) and proof of citizenship (such as birth certificate) to cross into the United States.

In the past a verbal declaration could be accepted, though these items of ID have generally been considered the requirement for some time. The change simply formalizes what was already accepted practice.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection will begin the transition to the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative secure document (passport) requirement over the next 18 months, with implementation as early as June 1, 2009.

Make sure your US guests are aware that these changes effect their ability to get back home and NOT to enter Canada.

Take good care,
